BACK TO THE BEGINNING...
HOW IT ALL STARTED...
At 16 years old, I bought a microphone, a cheap recording software, set up some mattresses and got to work.
It was pretty discouraging at first… It took years to get around to the first song I ever finished recording – Spring.
My best friend Paul and I used to make YouTube comedy sketches, so he helped me create this video:
THE IDEA BEHIND THE ALBUM
When I grew up, I loved Spider man. I think the emo/punk kid in me related to his “secret identity” struggles. Somehow over my teen years, the idea for the cover art for Perspectives Dress Me To The Nines popped into my head.
Maybe this is just the emo punk kid in me talking, but I think most of life is a matter of perspective – there are two sides to all of our experiences – the side we find boring, and the side that is enthralling and magical.
